A Tiny Smartphone with LTE Support was a hit on Kickstarter
The startup, called Unihertz, introduced its new miniature smartphone (in 2017, Unihertz already showed a tiny Jelly) called Kemstarter, called Atom, which literally in a minute collected the necessary amount to start production. In just a day, this baby was supported for more than $610 thousand or $50 thousand needed – at the time of writing the news, the startup collected 12.5 times more funds required.

Dimensions Unihertz Atom are rather small: 96 × 45 × 18 mm. Its weight is 108 grams. The creators assure that this is the smallest smartphone with LTE support. Developers managed to fit in this baby a lot of different sensors, and its some technical characteristics will envy many medium-budget smartphones:
- 2.45-inch display with a resolution of 240 × 432 pixels;
- 8-core processor with a clock speed of up to 2 GHz;
- 4 GB of RAM;
- 64 GB of user memory;
- Main camera at 16 megapixels with flash;
- Front camera at 8 megapixels;
- Battery for 2 000 mAh, recharging through the USB Type-C port;
- Two SIM cards (support for networks of the largest operators, including Russian ones);
- Sensors and sensors: fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, light sensor, compass, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS);
- Interfaces and wireless technologies: Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, FM radio, OTG, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC;
- Protection against ingress of water and dust according to IP68;
- Protection against falls;
- Multifunctional (programmable) physical button;

Fundraising for Kickstarter will end on July 10, 2018, but the initial offers for $160, $180 and $200 have already ended (they have already been redeemed). At the moment Unihertz Atom in a single copy can be purchased at Kickstarter for $ 219. If the buyer buys several smartphones at once, the startup gives a discount.
