The long-awaited WhatsApp instant messenger function pleases with its appearance, but the limitation of four people spoils the whole picture.
In the most popular instant messenger in the face of WhatsApp finally, there were group audio and video calls. It’s amazing that the service developers decided to implement this function only now: not only did it appear in competitive instant messengers for quite some time, since the calls themselves are incredibly in demand in WhatsApp itself (according to official data, users of the service spend more than 2 billion minutes on calls a day).
A group call in WhatsApp cannot be created in a conversation with several people: the user must call one person, and then add others via the corresponding button. All calls are protected by end-to-end encryption, so users’ conversations remain as confidential as possible. At the moment in WhatsApp, you can create group calls for three or four people – may be in the future this restriction will be lifted.

Now the original record for the number of interlocutors in group calls belongs to the FaceTime messenger from Apple (at least, if we only consider popular services) – up to 32 people can participate in group calls. Skype has a limit of 25 people.
The innovation is available in the current versions of WhatsApp clients for iOS and Android. Recall, recently it became known that in WhatsApp there will be stickers – they will be available both in the general catalog and in the categories sorted by emotions.
