Palm is back with a tiny smartphone on a full Android

Fans of tiny (by the standards of 2018) smartphones may rejoice – the iPhone SE and Xperia Compact have a competitor. As well as it followed from numerous leaks, the Palm company known in the past returned to the market with the smartphone with the same name. Compactness became its feature – the gadget is equipped with a 3.3-inch display and easily fits in your hand. Externally, it looks like an iPhone 2G, but its screen is even smaller than that of the first smartphone from Apple.

Palm works on the basis of a full-fledged Android 8.1 Oreo, but on top of it, there is a special launcher with the main screen in the style of the Apple Watch. The decision of the manufacturer to use such an interface seems quite logical since the new product is something average between modern smartphones and smartwatches – apparently, the standard Android desktop is not suitable for a 3.3-inch screen.

Palm Smartphone

The heart of the device was the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435, and the battery capacity is 800 mAh. These characteristics seem to be very bad, but the manufacturer assures that the smart stuff is not needed by their smartphone – Palm will work all day without recharging and will cope with all the tasks (naturally, it is unlikely that someone will run Asphalt 9 or use graphics editors).
