Xiaomi is the undisputed king of budget smartphones in the two largest smartphone markets for such devices, India and China. Recently, brands such as Huawei encroach on the small kingdom of Xiaomi with sub-brands such as Honor. Oppo also recently launched a sub-brand Realme to compete with Redmi Xiaomi. We could say that the new sub-brand Poco is Xiaomi. Recently released Xiaomi Poco F1 brings heat to the already heated market, as well as new desktop wallpapers.
This is not the first time that Xiaomi tried to sell some more expensive smartphones outside the price range of 20,000. However, Xiaomi’s previous attempts did not really materialize in the country. The last of Xiaomi was Xiaomi Mi 5. The Chinese manufacturer wants to start with the Poco brand. This time it is more aggressive than ever.
It is equipped with a large 6.18-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18.7: 9, supporting trends. Speaking of trends, there is also a cutout on the top and a chin downstairs. The back of the phone is made of polycarbonate, which is a breakthrough from all glass. Back in 2012, who would have thought that polycarbonate back would be such a refreshing thing.
Polycarbonate should give more durability to the device, but Xiaomi also has another option called Armored Edition. This, the company claims, has Kevlar. All buttons on the device are on the right. On the left side there is a hybrid slot with a dual SIM card, which can accept either two SIM-cards, or one SIM-card and a microSD card.
For those who do not know, Xiaomi Poco F1 is packed with the latest and best Qualcomm chip, Snapdragon 845 and at least 6 GB of RAM. The dual rear camera installation on the rear panel consists of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth, as well as two LED flash units. The front of the device is covered with a full HD + display with a resolution of 1080 × 2246, protected by a Gorilla 3 glass. In the recess on the front panel, there is a 20-megapixel self-tutorial, as well as an infrared camera and infrared emitter that is used for face recognition.
There are three storage options: one with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory, the other with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory, and the third with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. The armored version is available only in the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. All this is powered by a 4000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.
Android 8.1 Oreo
Poco F1 launches MIUI on top of Android. Currently, the device launches MIUI 9.6 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Xiaomi promised to update it to MIUI 10 as it appeared. The company also promised to release an update of Android P around the fourth quarter of 2018. This is another way to say by the end of 2018. Poco F1 launches its own theme on top of MIUI. This can be easily changed using the “Themes” application.
Poco F1 seems to be of great importance for money, as specifications can tell us. But while you wait for the reviews, you can enjoy both of the Xiaomi Poco F1.
